Terms and Conditions – Pilates
By signing up to participate in our Pilates classes you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions outlined below. If you do not agree with any of these Terms and Conditions please contact the studio before signing on to classes. We reserve the right to modify, update and reissue these Terms and Conditions at any time and you agree to be bound by these changes. Any such changes will be posted to our website.
2 weeks of unlimited reformer classes for $48 is only valid for 14 days and is only available for brand new patients to move physio pilates. The offer can only be accessed once per person. The offer is non-refundable or transferable between patients and will activate from the date of your first class booking, not from date of purchase. This offer is not applicable to private classes.
Weekly Direct Debit Membership
The weekly direct debit membership is available for group reformer classes only.
Weekly direct debits are valid for 7 days from the requested start date within the week of your first class booking and will automatically renew every 7 days. Direct debits are non-refundable or transferable between patients and cannot be extended, with the exception of an illness or injury whereby a medical certificate is required.
Memberships can be placed on hold for a minimum period 2 weeks. Where reasonable and possible, we require two weeks notice for membership suspensions.
Payment will be automatically deducted from your provided credit card on your chosen date. Should the payment default, you will be required to provide an alternative payment option.
The weekly direct debit membership requires a three month minimum commitment, with the exception of an illness or injury whereby a medical certificate is required.
Weekly direct debits can be cancelled at any time after the three month minimum commitment. We require two weeks notice to cancel memberships. Emails requesting cancellation must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
Group reformer class packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They are non-refundable or transferable between patients and cannot be extended, with the exception of an illness or injury whereby a medical certificate is required. The extension must be requested within the 12 months of validity.
Private and semi-private class packages are valid for 8 weeks from the date of your first class booking. They are non-refundable or transferable between patients and cannot be extended, with the exception of an illness or injury whereby a medical certificate is required. The extension must be requested within the 8 weeks of validity.
Prices and Bookings
All Pilates prices and an up to date timetable are available on the move physio pilates website. Should amendments be made to either the prices or timetable, these will be updated on the website.
Each reformer class has only six available spaces. In order to attend you must first reserve a space. This can be done through your registered account or by calling or visiting the clinic.
Bookings for private and semi-private pilates classes do not require registering an account. In order to attend you must reserve a space. There is a maximum of 3 spaces available in the semi-private classes. Bookings can be completed via the website or by calling or visiting the clinic.
Attendance, Waitlists and Payments
Classes are on a first in first served basis. To avoid disappointment, classes can be booked up to two weeks in advance. Should a class be cancelled for any reason you will be notified via text, phone or email.
If there is no availability in the class you are wishing to attend, register yourself on our waitlist and when a spot becomes available you will be notified via email up to one hour before the start time of the class. If you are no longer available for the class, please remove yourself from the waitlist as once you are added, it is assumed you will attend the class and our cancellation policy applies.
Out of consideration for the instructor, other clients, and your own safety, please ensure you arrive on time. Should you be more than 5 minutes late to a session, you may not be able to participate.
Patients are strongly encouraged to refrain from leaving the classes early to minimise disruption to other people within the class.
Owners and/or instructors have the right to restrict you to a certain class type, for your own safety. They have the right to refuse your participation in a class if there is not sufficient medical clearance.
Sessions are not transferrable to any other person. If another person shows up to use that session, they will be turned away or asked to create an account and purchase their own sessions.
All payments for reformer, private and semi-private classes are processed via credit card details provided to move physio pilates when you register an account or attend your initial appointment.
To cancel a booking, you must notify move physio pilates within 6 hours of the commencement of your session. Move physio pilates understands unforeseen circumstances arise, however, to ensure there is consistency and fairness to all patients, there will be no exceptions.
Cancellations made with less than 6 hours notice will incur a fee equal to 50% of the appointment or if you have purchased a block of classes, you will lose your class credit. If you fail to attend without notice, you will be automatically charged the full appointment fee.
Group Reformer Classes
If you have purchased a casual or block of classes and you cancel your class within the 6 hour window or no-show, you will automatically lose the class. If you are on an unlimited offer such as our intro offer or a membership and you cancel within the 6 hour window, you will be charged $15. If you no-show for a class and are on an unlimited offer, you will be charged $25.
Cancellations can be made via your online account or by calling or emailing the clinic. It is strongly encouraged to cancel your appointment even if it is within the 6 hour notice period to ensure you allow your space to be available to another patient.
Instructors and classes are subject to change without notice. Move physio pilates reserves the right to cancel classes if necessary. Should a class be cancelled by move physio pilates, they will make every effort to offer you a make up session or provide you with a credit to your account.
Conditions of Entry
Move physio pilates reserves the right to refuse entry, or reject, patients or others who are behaving in an anti-social, intoxicated, disorderly, aggressive, offensive or dangerous manner or in any manner which may threaten the security of the clinic or the people within it
Smoking is prohibited within the clinic.
You are required to treat all people and property at move physio pilates with all due care and respect
All patients must wear appropriate attire to perform physical exercise at all times. Socks must be worn for feet in straps work or as deemed necessary by your instructor, for safety and hygiene purposes, and are available for purchase at the counter if you forget to bring your own.
Group reformer classes are safe for women to attend up to 14 weeks of pregnancy. Once 14 weeks of pregnancy is reached, it is required you stop attending group reformer classes and attend specialty classes for pregnancy. These specialty classes for pregnancy are safe for women to perform right up to full term.
Personal Agreement and Acceptance of Risk
Participating in pilates at move physio pilates is done so at your own risk. You understand you will be undertaking physical activity which has an inherent risk of personal injury.
You must inform instructors prior to participating in a pilates if there are any risks to your health. This includes pre-existing injury, illness, muscle soreness/discomfort or if you are pregnant. If you do have a medical condition, you are participating in pilates at your own risk.
Move physio pilates instructors are not medically trained and therefore cannot assess whether patients are in a good physical condition and/or that they can participate in pilates classes without detriment to their health, safety, comfort or physical condition. Patients are advised to seek medical advice prior to commencing any physical activity if they are in any doubt about their capability of engaging in exercise.
You understand pilates may be physically strenuous and voluntarily participate in pilates with full knowledge that there is a risk of personal injury, property loss or death. You agree that yourself, your heirs, assigns or legal representatives will not sue or make any claims of any kind whatsoever against move physio pilates or its members for any personal injury, property loss/damage, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
Move physio pilates does not assume responsibility for any lost or stolen personal belongings. If you become a victim of theft, please report this to move physio pilates staff immediately.
You acknowledge that move physio pilates instructors may use tactile cueing and adjustments, or make physical contact with you for correction purposes in order to ensure pilates practice is undertaken in accordance with best practice.
