MoveX is an exercise class that is suitable for people of all fitness and experience levels. It is a class for everyone and allows you to go at your own pace under the instruction of the physio who will be actively cueing and correcting technique and form as you go. Because the programs are individualised it really is for everyone, including people who are:

Wanting to improve their physical fitness, muscle strength, tone and control

Pre and Post-Natal

Post Operative: knees, hips and spinal surgeries

Athletes

Weekend warriors

Have arthritis

Have lower back or neck pain

Hypermobile

Suffer from knee or shoulder pain

Your first session will be a one on one 60 minute comprehensive assessment with a physiotherapist, which helps us better understand:

• How your body moves

• Identify any areas for improvement

In this session your physio will take you through a series of assessments which will be used to design an individualised program during this time. This program is created for use in a small group class setting in your subsequent classes.

In the initial consultation we will record your baseline and set goals from there. So you have your starting point! Every 6 weeks these goals and your program will be re-evaluated to ensure you are making consistent and measurable progress in the right direction. In some cases it may be recommended that you attend additional one on one classes before entering into a group class. We definitely don’t want anyone to feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable. Rather, we want your MoveX classes to be challenging, rewarding and also fun!

Classes consist of up to 4 people, each working on their own individual injury rehab and/or areas for improvement. This is why your initial one on one session with your physio is so important, so that they can individualise the program as much as possible during class instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. We are all different and our bodies are all different, so it makes sense that we need to focus on different things!

Initial Assessment - $180

Follow up individual session- $165

Semi-private classes - $70

Semi-private classes (block of 6) - $390

Please call the practice on 9565 5363 to book into your first and subsequent classes. It is recommended that patients pick one class time and attend the same class each week. This keeps consistency with your health provider and other class members. However if for any reason you cannot make it that day, you may be able to do a makeup class at another time for that week if there is a spot available.

If you need to cancel a class or change a class booking, you are required to do so no less than 24 hours before the scheduled class time or you will be charged the full cost of the class.
